Your notes, remembered.
Chamber is a local-first notebook with flashcards and spaced repetition built in. Capture what you're learning, turn it into cards in a keystroke, and review at exactly the right moment, with an AI tutor that works for you, not instead of you.
What Chamber does for you
Notes that turn into memory.
Notes become cards in one keystroke
A modern block editor with math, tables and callouts. Select any text and press ⌘G to make a basic, cloze, reversed or list card.
Review at the right moment
A modern FSRS scheduler that tunes itself to your memory, plus an exam planner that tells you whether your study plan is realistic.
Study straight from your sources
Highlight a PDF passage to make a card. Pull text out of images on your own device, and build image-occlusion cards for diagrams.
An AI tutor on your own terms
Generate cards, summaries, quizzes and explanations with the AI provider you already use. Nothing it writes is saved until you accept it.
Cards that stay in sync with notes
Change a note and Chamber flags every card built from it, so your deck never drifts out of date.
Search by meaning
Find notes by what they mean, surface related ideas, and catch duplicate cards before they clutter your reviews.
How it works
Capture
Write, paste or import notes and PDFs. Or just type into the composer and let Chamber file it in the right place.
Distil
Turn what matters into cards, by hand or by approving cards the AI suggests.
Review
Do a short daily review. Chamber decides when each card comes back and shows how much you're retaining.
Your knowledge, on your device
Chamber keeps your library in your browser first. It works offline, needs no account to start, and only syncs if you ask it to.
- Local-first. Your notes live on your device; the cloud is a backup, never the master.
- Bring your own AI. Connect any of ten providers. Requests go straight from you to them, with no middleman.
- Optional encrypted sync. Turn on end-to-end encryption if you sync across devices.
- Every action is undoable. AI edits arrive as word-level diffs you can accept, reject or roll back.
- Move in, move out. Import from Anki, Obsidian, Notion, Evernote and Quizlet. Export to Anki, Markdown and more, review history included.
